Connect to yourself and your world the way you deserve.

Individual Therapy

I take a person-centered approach to therapy which means that you are the center of all of our sessions — your healing, your pace. This will be a team effort where we continue with what works for you and change what doesn’t.

I also take an integrative approach which means that I pull from a variety of different therapeutic modalities to tailor something that fits you specifically.

Here are some modalities I pull from:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Emotion/Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Here are some things you might hear me say:

  • Make connections between thoughts, emotions, physical reactions, behaviours, and the situations that the previous four factors might influence or be influenced by

  • Use (a lot) of parts language which might sound like: “It sounds like one part of you is feeling one way and another part of you is feeling differently which is creating some internal conflict. Let’s get to know more about these different parts of you and how they’re impacting you.”

Couples Therapy

With couples therapy, I integrate the above mentioned modalities, but I primarily pull from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This is a modality that focuses on creating a secure attachment bond within a relationship.

Here’s how EFT might help your relationship:

  • By examining the specific brand of conflict that you and your partner enter. What are the different pieces of your cycle of conflict/interaction?

Here is an example of the cycle in action: after a certain event, partner A might experience certain emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions that lead to a particular reaction. In response to partner A’s behaviour, partner B might experience certain emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions that lead to their own reaction which might set partner A off in return. This then escalates until both of you are hurt and hurting the person you love.

  • Shifting this cycle by enabling communication that gets to the heart of the matter and restructuring your communication so that your true self is received by your partner in the way you need to be.

  • Mental health impacts every area of our lives whether we realize it or not. It affects and will be affected by how we cope with day-to-day stressors, our relationships, our values and goals, our physical health, and much more. Therapy is for anybody who needs a safe, neutral, nonjudgmental space to take care of their mental health. This can look like needing a neutral third party to talk to about relationship issues, processing day-to-day stressors, learning about new ways to cope with psychological or relational challenges, working on improving communication and strengthening your relationship, in-depth processing of trauma, or anything in between. By prioritizing therapy, you’re prioritizing your mental health and helping better your relationship with yourself and those around you.

  • I do! I offer free 15-minute phone or video consultations. Contact me to schedule a free consultation.

  • When appointments are created, they are reserved solely for you. Cancellations under 48 hours make it difficult to reschedule that spot for someone else which is why I have a 48-hour cancellation policy.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the appointment, you will be charged half the session fee. If the cancellation is within 24 hours or you don’t show up to the appointment, you will be charged the full session fee.
